What to check before buying Automotive deals
For car parts and supplies, the right product matters more than the right price. Fitment is the first check: confirm the year, make, model and engine of your vehicle against the listing, and when a part number is shown, compare it with the one on your old part or in your owner's manual.
For fluids such as oil and coolant, your owner's manual states the specification your vehicle needs, written as a grade or a standard on the bottle. Match that, not the brand or the discount. For wiper blades, check the length for each side, because the driver and passenger sides are often different. For batteries, check the size and terminal layout. For cleaning and detailing products, read what surfaces the product is meant for.
Parts that affect braking, steering or safety are worth having installed or checked by a professional, whatever the price. If you are unsure whether something fits, it is cheaper to ask before you buy than to return it afterwards.
- Year, make, model and engine
- Part number against your old part
- Fluid specification from the owner's manual
- Left and right sizes for wipers
How we check prices: prices come from Walmart’s own catalog and are dated on each card; we hide any list price more than 4× the sale price. The price at Walmart is the price you pay. How we pick deals.

Automotive deals FAQ
How do I check that a part fits my car?
Compare your vehicle's year, make, model and engine with the listing, and match the part number to your old part or owner's manual. If the listing has no fitment information, check the manufacturer's site.
Does brand matter for motor oil?
The specification matters most. Use the grade and standard your owner's manual calls for, then compare prices among products that meet it.
